Sharing Your Dashboard and Custom URLs
Making a Dashboard Public
New dashboards can be shared with your community once they're made public. On your dashboard's edit page, check "Make this dashboard publicly viewable" and click "Save Changes".
Dashboards that aren't public can only be seen by you (and any moderators you've given access to), and they have no public link.
Finding Your Links
Once your dashboard is public, click the "Public URLs" button at the top of its edit page. You'll find:
- Public URL: The link to your dashboard page, which looks like
https://subgoal.gg/Boards/.... Share this with your viewers, put it in your stream panels, or post it in chat. - Custom Subdomain URL: Shown only if you've turned on a custom subdomain (see below).
- OBS Browser Source URL: The link for your stream overlay. This is different from the public dashboard link. See Using and Customizing the OBS Overlay.
You can also click the link icon on a dashboard card on your Dashboards page to open its public page.
What Viewers See
- The dashboard title and description, the channel name, and whether you're currently LIVE or OFFLINE on Twitch.
- The widgets you've chosen in your layout: subscriber count, progress to the next goal, your goals list, and an achieved summary.
- A link to your Twitch channel.
- The page refreshes itself every 30 seconds, so viewers can leave it open to watch progress.
- Viewers don't need an account or to sign in.
Custom Subdomain Pro
Pro accounts can use their Twitch username as a short, memorable address for one of their dashboards, like
https://yourname.subgoal.gg.
How to Turn It On
- Open the dashboard's edit page and make sure the dashboard is public.
- Check "Use your Twitch username as a custom subdomain for this dashboard". This option only appears for Pro accounts, and only on public dashboards.
- Click "Save Changes". Your custom URL now appears under "Public URLs".
Things to Know
- Your subdomain is always your Twitch username in lowercase. It can't be customized to another name.
- Subdomains can only contain letters, numbers, and underscores. If your Twitch username contains anything else, a custom subdomain can't be created.
- A username can only point to one dashboard at a time. If you turn it on for a second dashboard, it's switched off on the first one.
- The subdomain shows your dashboard page only. Visiting other pages on it takes people back to subgoal.gg.
- Making the dashboard private also turns the custom subdomain off.
- Custom subdomains are a Pro feature. If your Pro subscription ends, your custom subdomain is turned off. See What Happens When I Downgrade.
Free Account Limits
On the free plan, if you have more than one dashboard, only your most recently updated one can be edited, and the others aren't publicly visible. See How to Create a Dashboard and Benefits of a Pro Account.
